How is my sun sign worked out?
Your sun sign is the zodiac sign the Sun was in on the day you were born. The calculator uses the standard date range for each sign, such as Aries from 21 March to 20 April. If you were born on the first or last day of a sign, the real changeover can fall a day either side, depending on the year.
Why do Moon and Rising need more than my birthday?
Your rising sign changes roughly every two hours and your moon sign every two to three days, so both need your birth time and place. You can add them when you create your Intro. Without a birth time, Intro leaves your rising sign locked rather than guess.
How is a life path number calculated?
Add together every digit of your full date of birth, then keep adding the digits of the total until you reach a single digit. 11 and 22 are kept as they are, because numerology treats them as master numbers.
How do I find my Chinese zodiac animal by birth year?
Your animal comes from your birth year in the Chinese lunar calendar, which starts at Lunar New Year, somewhere between 21 January and 20 February. If you were born in January or early February, before that year's Lunar New Year, your animal belongs to the previous year. The calculator checks this for you.
What is my Chinese zodiac element?
Each year also carries one of five elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal or Water. Each element lasts two years, so the full cycle of 12 animals and 5 elements repeats every 60 years.
